Picnics, Parties, And Chicken

Now that it's almost time for another weekend, I will finally blog about last weekend. Saturday was so much fun. We started off visiting a sweet couple in our class who just had a little baby girl. She is tiny! Fulton entertained her with his loudness.
From there we headed to the park for a picnic. We took that sweet couple above a meal and on the way Matt kept saying it smelled so good that he really didn't want to eat the PB and J sandwiches that I had fixed. So sad, but that's what we were having.
Little stinker enjoyed it. He got to ooh and ahh over the few people that walked by.
He didn't want to be left out, so he snacked on puffs while we ate. He has still not quite mastered this feeding himself thing. His pinchers aren't working yet and he gets them stuck in his hand and can't find them. We headed to Sonic for a quick ice cream cone, I am addicted. It's only a dollar.. .I can find that much in the couch cushions.
We went to dinner at our sweet friends, Jeff and Emily's house. They have a little boy, Andrew, who is about 16 months and he put on his favorite show for Fulton. It's called The Fresh Beat Band or something like that. I have never heard of it, where have I been?
The best picture we could get. They loved playing together. Andrew shared his toys nice with Fulton and he slobbered all over them and passed them back.
Sunday afternoon consisted of a quick nap and then we had a packed afternoon planned.
We told Fulton right before we left because we knew he would be pumped because we were going to see this little girl....
It was Avery's 1st Birthday!! It seems like just a day ago we were seeing her sweet little self at the hospital after she was born and now she is 1. Fulton was trying to show her some love here.
Claire did such a cute job decorating. It was an ice cream sundae party and delicious!
Look how sweet they are. Can I just say how blessed we are to have sweet friends like this in our life? I love it because Avery and Fulton are so sweet to each other. It is so much fun because almost every couple in our small group has children right close in age and I know they will enjoy growing up together. They play nice together. I told Fulton to start treating her nice now if he wants to win over the older ladies.
And if you are still reading, from there we met sister and Pete and headed downtown to the art festival. I had no idea what sister was getting us in to, but it turned out to be good. Sister had a front row spot for the belly dancer show.
Look what Aunt Keri bought me? My very first pair of shades. Struggling to keep them on our face and out of our mouth, but he is loving them. We will get lots of use out of these at the lake and pool this summer.
This little fella was a champ! He is so laid back... he just goes with the flow wherever we go. We lucked up on the end of this tasting of restaurants thing that you had to pay like 25 dollars for, but they were closing it up and trying to get rid of the food, so we just kept going from booth to booth sampling whatever they had for free...love it. Worked out good for us.
Look at the stud with the stroller. We met up with mom and dad at a fine dining establishment called BoJangles, where the guys were beyond thrilled because we pulled up and it was all you can eat. They walked out with their belts a few notches looser.

Nice shot of my rear end sis! You might have to pay for that :)
Fun time at the art festival...we'll have to do that again next year!

Good times! (You're a great blogger because you were able to put all of that in one post. I would have either did the same but put readers to sleep with my wordy-ness, or broken it up into like five different posts!)

Fulton looks like a big boy -- he seems as big as all his "older" friends! Future football player, for sure!

(Oh, and honey, you'd better get with it. The Fresh Beat Band is great - F will love it!)

Have a great weekend!

You have to get the baby goggles/sunglasses. We got some at Academy Sports. They are sunglasses with a strap around the back to hold them on his head
