A Little Beach Trip

This week matt and I headed to the beach for a little summer vacay. We always go on a big trip for our anniversary but this summer is already jam packed and between grad school and matt's football--this is the only week we had off for both. Anyways... here are a few pictures from our week. Now you know when you go on vacation by yourself you have to take all those crazy arm shots of the two of you-so sorry you have to see our arm in most of these. I must get a little camera man to start coming along on our trips. Harley sure enjoyed his vacation too. It takes no time for this little guy to get settled in and relaxed. Matt is trying to eat solids for the first time since his sickness... more on that later..

You know matty and I do some crazy thing to entertain ourselves. So after dinner one night we stopped off at the ole souvenir place. There are lots of interesting things you can do in there and we enjoyed playing with their stuff. We stopped when the security lady started following us around.

And Harley man loves him some beach.. no matter that the sign said no pets. You know we love a good law breaking night. And you see that small picture on the right with the glass cup. Let me tell you about that... well, I am not a fan of bugs or any kind of creature that crawls.. who is!? Well, I see this little booger out of the corner of my eye.. I scream... matt is in the shower and I did the only thing I know to do when matt isn't available for a good bug napping... put a cup over it. I said hurry hurry I have caught a crab in the floor. He calls back--you crapped in the floor. No--I caught a crab! Matt picked that crazy thing up and took it back out to the beach. Such an animal lover. Fun week at the beach.....until next time.

Happy Birthday Mom!!

Today is my mom's birthday!! So Happy Birthday Momma Senorita!! We had a little party for her at the lake this weekend. We had ourselves a good time, despite the fact that it rained all weekend. We wouldn't want to go get ourselves burned on the first weekend, now would we? But anyways, mom got the roomba thing that she wanted from dad. I just call Matt my roomba--he is a good vacuumer. Well, Mom hope you have a fabulous birthday--you deserve it!! I love you!!

Weekend Recap

Here's a little rundown of the ole weekend.... p.s. this is our last week of school--oh let the celebration begin. Pumped!! This was actually Thursday. Mom and I did a little browsing at Target and she is going for this new look. We met dad for Mexican food after that.

Friday night and Saturday my friend Kristin and I went to the Extraordinary Women's conference. Matt --my fabulous Godly husband--bought me these tickets as a surprise. It was a weekend of great praise and worship with NewSong and Matthew West and some awesome women speakers. It was an encouraging weekend!! (Matt was suffering in Gulf Shores at a football game-terrible isn't it?)

Today we went to our friend David Tucks birthday party. This is us with David and Stephanie Dollar--sweet friends from our small group at church.

The church group friends from the party--we love these friends. Amanda planned this surprise party for David and we all hid and came running out when he came in. It's kind of like when you play hide and go seek and you always have to go to the bathroom once you hide. I get so nervous! Hope you had a Happy Birthday David!!

Going Away Party

All the Special Ed teachers at my school met for a little going away dinner party. We have two teachers that are moving and leaving us, so we wanted to have one last get together before the end of school. This group of teachers are really great and we have such a good time together. Fun times.. I will miss Holly and Michelle! Holly saw this car and remembered that she had one JUST like it when she was in high school....so she had to take her picture next to it. Although hers had hydraulics.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to a fabulous mother and a fabulous mother-in-law. We had a great weekend and were able to spend time with both moms. On Saturday we met Matt's mom for lunch and enjoyed getting to visit with her. On Sunday we had mom, dad, Keri, and Steven over lunch. Keri, Steven, Matt and I made lunch for everyone. Things did get into a little crisis mode when a major storm came through right before we planned to grill the chicken.. I told Matt just to put on his raincoat and go for it. He said no. Anyways, it was a happy day spent with family. Hope you had a great Mother's Day mom... you deserve it!! We love you!!

Happy Birthday Harley!

Well, it's Cinco de Mayo... otherwise known as the Harley man's birthday. We just had a little party for him with a special treat. And a special treat for him means anything dipped in peanut butter. He loved it! I will say this... you know we don't actually know when Harley's real birthday is (he was a rescue dog that was abused) so..when we got him I decided since he was from Mexico it would be perfect that his birthday be on Cinco de Mayo. In his honor.. we will eat a taco now. Happy Birthday to the best little buddy in the world (next to Domino of course)! Another birthday we cannot forget today.. I know I know..what's more important than Harley's birthday...well, our cousin-in-law (I guess that is what you call it... my cousin's wife) Katie's birthday today as well. So, here's a little shout out to her and hope you had a great birthday Katie!!
