We returned this weekend from a wonderful trip to the beach. We left the lake last Monday heading for the beach.. literally we stopped by the house, re-packed our bags, changed cars and headed down south. Our friends, the
Crockers, came in tow with the 2 little boys and we enjoyed our week in the sand.
I took a lot of pictures.. and to spare you all of them.. I just chose a few.. so here are some pics from the beach. Matt worked really hard to bury Nathan in the sand and sculpt him into a mermaid. I think he should definitely add this to his resume. Little Ian and Asher just loved playing in the sand too.
We ate at Tacky Jack's our first night there and had the best seats on the water and actually saw some dolphins while we were eating.
Do you like feet?? The first is poor Matt's feet. The first day he fell asleep with his feet out from the umbrella and they were fried to a crisp when he came in later. Then Hope and I decided to get us a little temporary
tattoo.. right after we got our airbrushed t-shirt and car tag. Before we got to the car I had already messed mine up and lost the 2 bottom dots.... just like a kid for ya.
We had a little family photo session on the beach.. complete in the area where the sign clearly says "Do not get on the sand dunes"... oops didn't see that. The wind was blowing something terrible and this "comb over" look just wouldn't go away.
After dinner at
Desoto's we had to make a visit to good ole Souvenir City... there is so much junk to play with in there.. you just can't resist it. Nathan found a great beach cover-up and Matt lucked up on a pair of underwear on sale. It was a great week with friends... I always hate to leave the beach.

Is that Alabama briefs! Those are great! Why don't we get Steven and Dad a pair too? Wouldn't that be cute?!
Looks like a fun trip to the beach...glad to guys avoided the tar balls!

Looks like a blast! We are supposed to go Thursday and just can't decide what to do! Love all the pictures!
How fun! We are supposed to go twice in July but are now considering other options. Gatlinburg is one of them; I'm actually pretty excited since I've never been.
