Sunny Days

We enjoyed a laid back weekend and started our Friday night with a much needed date night for Matt and I.

We dropped Fulton off at Aunt Keri's and they headed to his favorite place, Chick-fil-A, for dinner. He had a fun night out with her, KK, and Pops. We even beat him back home. Sister texted me and said they were going to miss curfew. Fulton wasn't a wee bit tired when they finally got home.

Saturday was a nice day spent at home just hanging out. Sunday after church we went to a nearby park and had a picnic with our small group. I know I say it all the time, but we have the best small group ever. We are so blessed to have these couples in our life and they mean so much to us.

Fulton tried to keep up with the guys, but he mostly just stayed in the middle of their games.

A few of the kiddos there. Fulton, Hannah, Chloe, and Avery. Fulton is surrounded by the ladies at every event. We need more little boys. Not that he minds, he is definitely a ladies man.

Matt enjoyed some recreation. He played a little badminton, while I chased Fulton and kept him from eating the bark at the playground. Fun times!

Poor Bum

Just saying hey from the sink. Antibiotics have rough side effects.

Poor guy ended up with a terrible diaper rash like he has never had before. He soaked his little bum in a baking soda bath yesterday to ease the pain. Never seen him like this before. Boo. After some prescription strength diaper rash cream we are starting to see the real color of his skin again. As we held him in a towel last night and let him eat goldfish for dinner I told Matt we were "making memories." I guess that's what you call these little bumps in the road.

Time For A Festival

We had a great day outdoors yesterday, but first let me tell you about the past week.

This little guy has been sick. Started with a fever last Sunday and they had to come get us out of church. Went to the doctor on Monday and had a sinus infection and fever virus. This poor guy had a fever for 4 straight days, which meant mommy, daddy, and KK got to burn some of their sick days too. So there was lots of time to kill at home, but thankfully he is getting better (minus the antibiotic that tears his little tummy to shreds).

Saturday morning we ventured out to Mt. Laurel for their spring festival. We just love it out there. It's such a cute town, with fun stuff to do. We even racked up on some free cupcakes at the credit union booth.

Aunt Keri and Uncle Pete came too and helped keep tabs on this wild man.

They had some bouncy things, so we decided to try it again. Still wasn't quite sure about it. At first he just sat in the middle and let the bigger kids bounce him up and down.

He finally decided to try it a bit and had fun. It was finally time to get out and he wouldn't get close enough to the opening for me to get him. I had to reach half myself in the opening, muffin top and all hanging out on the backside to drag him out. Nothing like a burn on your belly being drug out of the bouncy house.

Thankfully a sweet lady gave him a balloon and that distracted him enough for us to get to the car.

We made it home just in time for a nap and then walked a couple houses down to our dear friends house for dinner. Claire and Daniel had some couples over from our small group and we grilled out. Fulton made himself at home very quickly.

The best we could get with the kiddos. Becca, Avery, Colt, Alex, Chloe, and Fulton.

Of course... always where the ladies are.

Cleanup

About three weeks ago a bad storm came through and hit the lakehouse pretty rough. Saturday we went up, along with some of mom and dad's friends, to start the cleanup.

Fulton's playset did not survive. Poor thing.

We had dozens of trees down and not just the little scrawny ones, but these big suckers. Very thankful none of them fell onto the house.

Look what winds can do? Ripped out part of the side of the stairs. Along with demolishing all the porch furniture with it.

But the saddest part...our boat dock and pontoon boat were flipped completely over. Kind of scary that straight line winds could do this. So, needless to say there was lots to do.

Fulton and I weren't much help to be honest. He was much more interested in riding in the golf cart. Which we did for a long time.

And Matt took him on his very first tractor ride. He loved it.

Fulton did pick up a stick or two. He finally took a nap and I was able to actually help. Straight up manual labor with scraps and cuts on my arms and legs to prove it. Still much to do, but it was a productive day.

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter celebrating our risen Savior! We really want Fulton to understand the true meaning of Easter and the gift we were given by Christ.

He did get an Easter basket from mommy and daddy. He was excited to check it out before we headed to church.

He was excited to find another egg inside his bucket. If that is all that excites him, his basket won't be too expensive next year.

A picture with the best daddy ever.

We had an amazing service at church with our new pastor.  He reminded us the life of a believer should have two points: zeal and repentance.  After church we headed to KK and Pop's house for lunch with the fam.

Mom is enjoying pulling out all of our old toys for Fulton to play with. She kept this wooden rocking horse for many years and buddy has really enjoyed it.

Aunt Keri and Uncle Pete I really do love you even though I refused to smile here.

Matt was ready for us to finish all the picture taking so he could get comfortable after this. Apparently Fulton was too.

We had a delicious lunch and then checked out some Easter baskets from KK and Aunt Keri. They were too good to Fulton.

We spent the rest of the afternoon playing with the bubble machine that Steven's parents sent Fulton for Easter. He loved it!! See the bandaid on his arm. Don't be fooled, there is no scratch beneath. Sister put those in his Easter basket and he wanted to try one out. We finally had to pry it off of him at bath time. We may go through those pretty quick.  Blessed day!
