A Night Out

We have been so busy lately and have not had much time to hang out with our precious friends from our small group at church, so we were finally home on a Saturday night and got everyone together who was available and headed for mexican food. We had dinner with five other couples at Iguana Grill.... I love love love that place. The food is delish and the atmosphere is so fun.

Here are the girls... Whitney, Rachel, Lindsay (with baby Lydia coming soon), Chrissy, me and Hope.

Matt and Nathan just aren't right... I think Matt really enjoyed carrying my purse.. it went well with his outfit.

And an attempt at a group picture where the camera was sitting on the windowsill. Gotta love self-timers. From here we visited Treat Yourself, which is kind of a knock off of Yogurt Mountain. You can't go eat mexican without getting ice cream afterwards. Fun night with great friends...as I always say, we love our sweet friends in our small group at church!!

Guess What?

Guess what.... I am married to this stud and totally in love with him!! Doesn't get much better than waking up to the love of your life, your best friend, your partner in crime, everyday!! Thanks to my Father for another day to spend with the one God has chosen for me. God is so awesome! Sunday was Buc Fan Day at the mall... and boy was it crowded. Here the coaches are marching in to the band playing and the cheerleaders cheering.. woohoo!! I forgot my pom pom at home, so I wasn't in full blown Buc mode, but the spirit was still inside me.

I have to admit I was struggling on Sunday.... so so tired from the weekend, but I needed to support my man... and it was a good excuse to check out some sales at the mall too.

Of course mom and dad came for the fun too. Sister would have been there (she hasn't missed one yet), but she is a little busy this week... some vacation or something like that. Thanks to the parentals for coming, they always support matt... he loves it!!

And my sweet friend and fellow coaches wife, Casey

Here's the hubs with a few of his coaching buddies... don't let the "I think I am cool" look fool you. These guys will cry at the drop of a hat. Go Bucs!!

Time For Lunch

The big wedding weekend was finally here. Friday we started the festivities with the bridesmaids luncheon hosted by some great friends at The Club. Have you been there? They have the most delicious orange rolls ever, that I totally stuffed myself with. Me, mom and sister at the luncheon
The tables all decorated beautifully. The ladies out did themselves, everything looked fabulous.

Our Aunt Susan, my mom's sister, came in town earlier in the week to help out and keep my mom entertained.

Look at this cute cake!! Love it! And we did the pulling of the charms and I got the lifesaver. At first I thought it meant maybe I was supposed to be a lifeguard or join the Coast Guard, but it meant I was a "lifesaver and a good friend"--presh!

The four of us in front of this gorgeous fireplace.

Me and the beautiful bride-to-be

Here are all the bridesmaids (minus one that couldn't be there) and the cute little flower girl. Look at the city behind us... good picture huh? After we ate a huge lunch, delicious cake, and opened some fab gifts, it was time to take a power nap and get ready to do it all again in a few hours.

Rehearse Rehearse

Later that night we had the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner... A few shots from us at the church.. practice makes perfect right?? Keri and I still messed up... forgot to give her back her flowers before they went to the unity candle. Oops.. See the bouquet... don't be jealous. You can have one too. Just save all your bows and ribbons from your Christmas presents and I can make you a holiday themed one. I thought sister was going to twist her wrist because I made that thing so big. It sure is pretty though.
And then it was off to the rehearsal dinner and it was yummy Taziki's for dinner. Yum yum!! Top far right is Steven's parents.. other wise known as sister's new in-laws. The dinner was a tailgate theme.. of course tailgating for Alabama theme, so that means you can't go without your hounds tooth hat and shaker.

Wedding Day

We finally made it to Saturday, the big day.... of course I took lots of pictures, but here are a few so you can feel like you were right there with us. Here we are getting ready really early in the morning... Missy had lots of hair to do, so we had to start early in the morning. See the blankets?? Well, it was only about 98 degrees outside that day but it was -21 degrees in the bride's room. It was absolutely freezing, so we had to call in some reinforcements to bring some blankets.

Here are a few snapshots after we finished getting ready and started taking pictures. Keri looked beautiful and her dress was goregous. Keri's dear friend Julie made a surprise visit to see her before the wedding. That is where the tears began.. so sweet!

A few pics of the fam and one with all the bridesmaids. The weather was nasty that morning and then it stopped raining, the sun came out and it was beautiful while we took pictures and during the ceremony.

And then it was off to the reception downtown. It was at an antique gallery, so there were lots of cool places to sit and lots of very expensive things to look at.. I pointed a few things out to Matt for Christmas ideas. Keri did great with her dancing skills, first with her new hubster and then with dad.

A few more of the fam and then it was time to hop in the convertible and head out. They had a nice exit complete with bubbles and all. It was a beautiful wedding and a fun weekend!! So happy for them!

Ian Turns One

Saturday we went to Ian's birthday party. This is the youngest son of our dear friends Hope and Nathan. We love us some Ian! We feel like their kids are like our own, so we wouldn't miss the monster bash for anything. Look at this fabulous cake that Hope made.. yes, she made this thing.. rolled the fondant and all. I see the Cake Boss do this all the time and I was so impressed with her hard work.

Here I am with the birthday boy. He wasn't sure what was going on and seemed to be more interested in eating the paper than opening his presents.

This little booger was so excited to dig into his cake.. he was a little hesitant at first, but once he figured it out, he had it on his head, ears, elbows... everywhere.

The first thing Matt did was put his party hat on. You can't have a party without the party hats.

Here are a few girls from our small group at church. There was a swim party after that.. but I felt since we left our swimmies at home, we better not participate this time.

Sunday we headed to Arab, where keri's fiance is from, for her tea. See that huge hydrangea arrangement behind me? I want one of those bushes in our yard. They are so gorgeous. We ended the weekend with dinner at delish Salvatores with our sweet friends the Warrens. Great weekend!
