Weekend Fun

So I am trying to spice up these titles to draw you into the excitement...wow! Anyways, that's the best I could do for this one. Friday night we played Gardendale and it was a win, so that was great! It wasn't much of a game and we did get a little yawny at some points. Good thing we had creepy baby there to entertain us. See her below.. she is the one on the right. If you look closely at her face you will see where she got her name. She comes in handy when you want to save some seats... just lay her on the bleachers and no one will come near you. Matt's players did great!! Good game!! Saturday was filled with some good ole quality time with my hubby--no pictures from that! And then....we are on the way to church this morning and the traffic is so backed up. We are thinking oh no it must be a wreck or something... no wreck.. just a pack of geese crossing the road. Or should I say standing in the road. Those little boogers wouldn't move. See this is why should always carry a camera in your purse. You just never know what you will come across.

Jamboree

Saturday was our Jamboree game against Oxford. It was a little strange playing the team we came from, but we got to see some old buds so that was great. Kristin, Casey, and myself made the trek all the way to Montgomery. It was quite an adventure and a long night. We finally pulled into the ole casa about 1:00 am. What a night! For a girl that goes to bed at 9:00, this was a little rough for me. I haven't stayed up this late since New Years. This was Matt's first big game on the varsity level and I think his players did great! And they came out with a win, so that made it all worth while.

Fan Day

Well, another Bucs Fan Day has come and gone. Yesterday afternoon they had Fan Day at the Galleria. Just a little pump you up before the big season begins. It sure pumped me up... to do some shopping. The whole fam came out for the big event... although I think my mom and sister were only there for the shoe sale at Belk. I didn't get Coach Howard's autograph this year, he said not in public. As the team and coaches were leaving Keri gave Matt one more shoutout "Hey Coach Howard." I think Matt pretended he didn't know who she was talking to.

On a more serious note..... really, I am so proud of Matt. He was offered the opportunity to move up to varsity this year and he is so excited. This has been his dream.. to coach on the varsity level. I am so happy for him! He is such an amazing man, balancing everything from me, teaching, coaching, graduate school, and everything else that he does and continuing to put me first and think of me before himself!! I love him!! Go get em Coach!!!
PS--He is such a stud too!!

Weekend With The Fam

This weekend was our annual weekend at the lake with the Bouchillons. It started out Thursday night with an eventful trip to the grocery store. You can see the picture where my mom got stuck in the back of the van and struggled so much to put her seat belt on that we had to stop on the side of the road so my aunt Susan could help her. We played on the lake all day Friday and had a crazy European dinner were you cook your own food on these little mini skillets. It was fun! Saturday was another day on the lake followed by a round of Phase 10 and a good ole family photo. Doesn't get much better than that. We finished the weekend with some more fun in the sun today and had to head back home to reality. It was a great weekend with the fam!!

Drive-In

Friday night we ventured out to the drive-in with my parents. I have been to the drive-in in a long time. Matt and I went there on our first date, so it's been a while. I didn't know if we would actually make it there, because as we were getting in the car my mom said she had directions, so I didn't get the piece of paper that had the address on it. Well, we are heading out into the middle of nowhere and my mom says what's the street name. I said... thought you had the directions. She then tells me that she has directions to the "town", but not where the place is. Don't worry... the people loitering in the Dollar General parking lot knew where it was. Mom and Dad before the show. We first parked at the Ice Age 3 screen then decided to see G-Force instead. We initially went to see Night at the Museum.. but that booger was the second show and we didn't make it that long.
Me and momma senorita

Matt was happy by now... at little frustrated with me in the car when he found out I didn't have the directions.

This was dad after he found out we didn't bring any snacks. Where's the concession stand? Great time at the drive-in!
